In an apparent push to circumvent regional legislation (that means fees) while still bolstering its own digital distribution service, Uplay, Ubisoft has removed several of its latest titles from Steam’s UK store. Farcry 4, Assassin’s Creed: Unity, and The Crew will be unavailable. According to users, the convenience of initially launching games from a single location trumps the redundancy in then needing to launch them through Uplay. So whatever the reason is for Ubisoft’s move away from Steam, the result is still a disjointed library. And it sucks.
